15-23 March 2023: I, along with six other MLAs, visited Washington DC and Alabama to participate in the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) exchange programme to build relationships and share knowledge between political, business, and civic society leaders in the USA. The ACYPL contributed approximately £3,557 towards transport, accommodation, hospitality, flights and activity costs (with the remainder of the total costs of approximately £4,887 being met by the Northern Ireland Assembly).
